Core Scientific maps Texas Batch Zero status by site in a Form 8-K
Core Scientific filed a Form 8-K (a current report companies use to disclose material events) under Item 7.01 Regulation FD on September 10 detailing conditional ERCOT treatment for Denton, Pecos, and Hunt, Texas. Denton: existing 297 MW conditionally approved as Base Load, Pathway (a) (load energized before March 25, 2022) and not subject to Batch Zero allocation; an additional 74 MW previously validated in ERCOT’s 2025 Regional Transmission Plan study is also outside Batch Zero. Pecos: existing 300 MW conditionally approved in Batch Zero as Base Load, Pathway (b) (energized after March 25, 2022 and before July 10, 2026), plus 300 MW as Studied Load; documentation and collateral are in, but final allocation and load ramp wait for Batch Zero to finish. Hunt: planned 431 MW conditionally approved in Batch Zero as Base Load, Advancing Large Load, Pathway (e); interconnection studies completed, ERCOT stability approval received, collateral posted, long-lead equipment ordered, and construction commenced.
Why it matters
Among covered issuers, this is the clearest public site-by-site map of how Batch Zero pathways land on an operating campus portfolio—and which megawatts sit outside the cohort entirely.

Risks
- Classifications are conditional
- Pecos Studied Load and final Pecos allocation depend on Batch Zero completion
- Verification RFIs and disputes can still change outcomes
