HIVE: BUZZ HPC names Mark Volk SVP Revenue; >$1M average daily revenue

HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq/TSX: HIVE), through wholly owned BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc., announced September 10, 2026 (company IR page dated September 9) that Mark Volk joined as Senior Vice President, Revenue, reporting to BUZZ HPC President and Chief Operating Officer Craig Tavares. Volk will lead global go-to-market for sovereign AI cloud, GPU-as-a-Service (renting graphics processors as a cloud service), colocation, and hybrid AI offerings across enterprise, government, sovereign, hyperscale, research, and academic markets. On operations, HIVE said that on August 21 it exceeded $1 million in daily revenue from combined hashrate (Bitcoin mining compute) and GPU cloud services; since then it has averaged about 12 Bitcoin per day (about 2% of global network production) and about $100,000 average daily GPU cloud revenue, for combined average daily revenue above $1 million under prevailing prices and difficulty. Year to date, HIVE said it closed more than $600 million in total contract value for GPU cloud contracts (signed agreements and letters of intent; not a U.S. GAAP revenue measure and not a guarantee of recognized revenue) inside a demand pipeline above $1 billion total contract value potential. Swedish Bitcoin mining, under 5% of August global daily revenue, is slated to wind down while HIVE evaluates repurposing that infrastructure for HPC/AI. The release is a designated news release under HIVE’s June 16, 2026 prospectus supplement.

Why it matters

For the IR audience, the simultaneous commercial-hire and preliminary daily-revenue/GPU contract-value packaging is the first HIVE operating update in this window after a quiet stretch on material campus filings.
