HIVE’s BUZZ HPC hires a revenue chief as combined daily revenue tops $1 million
HIVE Digital Technologies appointed Mark Volk Senior Vice President, Revenue at wholly owned subsidiary BUZZ High Performance Computing. Volk will lead go-to-market across enterprise, government, sovereign AI, hyperscale, research, and academic markets for GPU-as-a-Service, sovereign AI cloud, colocation, and hybrid AI. The same release said that since August 21, 2026, combined hashrate-services and GPU-cloud revenue has averaged more than $1 million per day, with about 12 bitcoin per day and about $100,000 average daily GPU-cloud revenue. Management also cited a GPU-cloud demand pipeline of more than $1 billion in total contract value potential and more than $600 million year-to-date GPU-cloud total contract value (a non-GAAP supplementary measure, not a guarantee of recognized revenue). HIVE said it intends to wind down Swedish bitcoin mining (less than 5% of August daily revenue) while evaluating HPC/AI repurposing.
Why it matters
HIVE is framing commercial leadership and early GPU-cloud run-rate as the next leg after power and campus build-out, while openly shifting low-share mining megawatts toward AI evaluation.
