Hut 8’s mix shift is a disclosure, not a thesis
The Miami-domiciled operator still files as a miner that hosts. HPC language is in the deck. The 10-Q is still a power and concentration document.
Summary
Hut 8 Corp. — CIK 0001964789, not the 2023-terminated Canadian predecessor — filed its 10-Q on August 4. The mix between self-mining and HPC hosting is a real line in the current reports. It is also easy to over-read. A higher hosting share is a customer-concentration and contract-duration story. It is not evidence the installed base has been re-rated into a GPU cloud.
Why it matters
Several names in this universe now report a split. The split is useful. The leap from split to AI-infrastructure multiple is not. Read the 10-Q for who pays, for how long, and what happens if they leave.

Risks
- Hosting counterparties can be concentrated even when the slide says ‘diversified.’
- Power contracts do not travel automatically when a hall is re-sliced toward HPC.
- The old Hut 8 Mining Corp. CIK is dead paper. Use 0001964789.
